Red Rover...I wanted to playRed Rover...
light-as-a-feather-stiff-as-a-board and
you wanted to sit and watch television.
There was a documentary on, telling us
children about the perils of too much
television in four two hour segments,
complete with
cliffhangers and nail-biting tactics that
kept us waiting on bated
baby’s breath for the next.
We are a product of this generation,
leaving hypocrisies and irony to the
doctors while we slowly let our brains
turn to Jello – malleable for politicians
to sculpt into right or left wing activists.
